Message from the CEO: Moving Business Forward
We are closer to getting on the Brightline Train Station at Boca Raton. Jackie Reeves (Chair of the Boca Chamber Board of Directors) and I attended yesterday’s Topping Off Ceremony of this station. The “last beam” is traditionally placed on a structure during a topping-off ceremony. Chair Reeves and I signed the beam together with our best wishes for this new asset that will transform our community. The station will be completed by the end of the year. All aboard Brightline!

The U.S. Small Business Administration has established two new federal advisory panels – the Invention, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Advisory Committee (IIEAC) and the Investment Capital Advisory Committee (ICAC). These two new committees were established to support startups driving innovation in the United States. They also aim to increase capital access for small businesses. They will provide valuable insights into how the SBA can improve its programs and policies to enhance the nation’s innovation ecosystem and increase the flow of private capital to small businesses and innovative startups. The SBA’s primary goal is to support small businesses and innovative startups by providing them with critical patient capital and R&D funds. Public members are invited to nominate themselves for either one of these committees. Click here for more information about the nomination process.
